About Me

Laura Essex

My Story

Fitness and a healthy lifestyle have always been a constant throughout my life, beginning in college as an all-natural bodybuilder, then becoming an AFAA certified instructor teaching high-impact and Step aerobics to today instructing Pilates, Barre, Strength, TRX Suspension Training. I have found purpose, strong friendships and community in fitness.

Most recently, after navigating through my own perimenopause and menopause journey, I decided to make it my mission to help other women through this challenging transition. I studied with Molly Galbraith and her team of experts at The Girls Gone Strong Academy and  now hold a certification as a Certified Menopause Specialist. I want to share my knowledge, training and personal experience with women who find themselves lost in a sea of uncertainty and mis-information and help them emerge confident, strong and educated about the important changes in mid-life. This next phase of life is an exciting time with the right mindset and support.

I’m still learning and growing every day and discovering myself along the way, what works - what doesn’t, what happens in the body and how our outlook changes as we age,  how to connect the body and mind, how to help my children grow into adults and let them go, how to help the world and the environment around me, and so many other countless things on this crazy, amazing journey of life.

We've got this, let's do it together. Women helping women for ourselves and future generations.

What Clients Are Saying

“I have been training with Laura for several years, and I am indebted to her for life! A friend encouraged me to try Laura’s TRX class, and although I was skeptical about my ability to keep up, Laura quickly allayed all of my fears. She is an expert instructor whose aptitude and positivity make working out rewarding and fun! My core strength has improved tremendously, and I feel better now than I did 20 years ago—thanks to Laura!"
